Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders

The 3rd call for projects of the European program Crossroads to finance innovation by SMEs in the France-Wallonia-Flanders zone.

Opening period: from September 11 to November 14, 2025

Funding: up to €250,000 in ERDF subsidies per cross-border partnership (50%)

Objective: to support cross-border economic cooperation between SMEs over the next six years, withinnovation projects thatare close to the market.

The following areas in particular are targeted

  • Circular economy
  • Sustainability (raw materials, water, energy)
  • Health
  • Digitalization / Industry 4.0

Crossroads is an opportunity for companies in the provinces of Hainaut, Namur and Luxembourg to set up a consortium and accelerate their international expansion by meeting partners in Flanders, France and Wallonia.

Interreg Meuse-Rhine 2021-2027

Eligible Walloon territory: province of Liège (including the German-speaking community)

Eligible territory outside Wallonia:

  • Southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg,
  • The German region of Aachen (with the districts of Aachen, Düren, Heinsberg and Euskirchen),
  • Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prum,
  • Landkreis Vulkaneifel in Rhineland-Palatinate,
  • Provinces of Limburg (Belgium)

Eligible territory outside the program area (provided the benefit to the program area is clear):

  • Belgium: Flanders, Province of Liège, Province of Limburg, FWB, RW, German-speaking Community of Belgium
  • Netherlands: Ministry of Economic Affairs, Province of Limburg
  • Germany: Region Aachen-Zweckverband; Ministry of Economy, Industry, Climate Action, Energy Land North Rhine-Westphalia; Rhineland-Palatinate

Financing :

  • Max 500.000€/ project - Min 50.000€/ partner -TRL 5-8
  • 50% ERDF co-financing

Consortium: min.1 Belgian SME (FrWVl zone) and 1 French SME (FrWVl zone) - SMEs only

  • Support businesses (sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs)
  • Strengthen regional resilience and adaptation to climate change
  • Improving mobility schemes
  • Support health, social, cultural and tourism cohesion in the region

Financing :

  • 60% ERDF co-financing (classic project)
  • If project portfolio, pilot project receives 70% subsidy
  • Walloon partner can receive up to 30% additional co-financing from the Walloon Region (and 20% for pilot projects)
  • 100% micro-project (max €50,000/micro-project)

Call : call 5 - step 1: 16/01/2025 - step 2: 10/07/2025

Consortium: min 3 partners from 3 different countries; at least 2 partners from the NEW zone (including the coordinator)

 

Interreg Grande Région

Eligible Walloon territory: parts of Belgium (depends on call) - Cooperation 2021-2027: arrondissements Waremme, Huy, Liège, Verviers, Marche-en-Famenne, Bastogne, Neufchâteau, Arlon

Eligible territory outside Wallonia:

Parts of Luxembourg, France, Germany

Priority axes :

  • Greener region
  • More social region
  • Region closer to citizens
  • Region with better governance

Financing :

  • up to 60% ERDF co-financing from the Interreg GR program for projects submitted under priority axes 1 or 2.
  • Projects can generally receive up to 57% ERDF co-financing from the Interreg GR program for projects submitted under priority axis 4.
  • The Walloon partner can receive up to 30% additional co-financing from the Walloon Region.
