A day of meetings on biosolutions

As part of its priority actions, IIS Digibiocontrol supports its partners in their search for talent capable of meeting the agricultural challenges of tomorrow, notably through the development of biocontrol products and innovative biostimulants.

With this in mind, on May 19, 2025, IIS organized a day of meetings between companies and talent in the biosolutions sector. The aim was to encourage exchanges between students, PhD students, job seekers and innovative companies, so that together we can build a sustainable and resilient agriculture.

The event, supported by Wagralim and the AgriBioCarenetwork, attracted over 120 participants.

During the day, several companies presented their opportunities for collaboration:

• Advagreen: looking for a PhD student and a technical sales representative with a good command of Flemish.
• Biocsol: open to Masters, PhD students and post-docs.
• Fyteko: offers internships in biology, biochemistry, logistics and process engineering, as well as in business development.
• Minagro: recruiting for 2026 in the regulatory, formulation and sales fields; also looking for a PhD student (solvent synthesis or biopesticides/biostimulants) and a master's degree in formulation.
• RRA: still looking for regulatory profiles, with the possibility of in-house training.
• ULB: offers three theses on plant-pathogen interactions, immune signaling, plant physiology and the production of bio-catalyzed biomaterials.
• Apeo: is looking for a quality manager, a field trial coordinator and interns.
• Agricells: offers an internship on a bioinsecticide project (molecular biology, protein production/purification).

The event was enriched by a presentation from IFAPME, which outlined the training opportunities available, particularly for sales agents.

The event ended with a convivial networking lunch, enabling candidates to meet directly with the companies present.
