Our coordinator Emma Dutilloy was present at Sival, the "Salon international des Techniques de Productions végétales", held at the Parc des Expositions in Angers from January 14 to 16. She was keen to share her news, and remains at your disposal for further information.

"Between limits and advantages: the impact of biostimulants on our vegetable crops". Against a backdrop of climate change, the Centre technique interprofessionnel des Fruits et Légumes (CTIFL) and the Centre de Développement et de Diffusion maraîchère (CDDM) presented trials on biostimulant products applied to various vegetable crops. This research highlights the complexity of developing biosolutions, which are strongly influenced by factors such as environmental conditions, crop type and cultural itinerary. Although promising, biostimulants require specific adjustments to maximize their effectiveness.

"Le Grand Défi Biocontrôle et Biostimulant: transforming tomorrow's agriculture through agroecology". In its presentation, the Biocontrol and Biostimulant Association for Agroecology (ABBA) highlighted its involvement in the "Grand Défi Biocontrôle et Biostimulant". This ambitious project aims to transform agriculture through agroecology, by focusing on three areas. First, scientific, technical and regulatory leadership. Secondly, the coordination of pilot farms, experimental networks and innovation clusters. And lastly, setting up a system of calls for projects to encourage the creation of new players and activities in the field.

Symposium "What is the potential of digitalization to foster agro-ecological transition?". At this symposium organized by the Vegepolys Valley cluster (a competitiveness cluster straddling four regions: Bretagne, Pays de la Loire, Centre Val de Loire and Auvergne Rhône Alpes), the focus was on the key role of digital tools in agroecology. The Path2DEA project aims to bring together farmers' skills and existing digital tools to offer solutions that can be adapted and used on a European scale. A catalog of existing digital solutions to support this transition is available at this link: Inventory Path2DEA - January 2025.

We can also mention presentations on "Synergy of biosolutions in the management of greenhouse pests: auxilaries and bioinsecticides. Compatibility, itineraries and results. Diffusion de l'information auprès des utilisateurs" and the "Digi-Agro: la formation digitale pour la protection intégrée des cultures et le biocontrôle" training course organized by the Alliance Biocontrôle. This initiative aims to equip farmers with digital skills to meet the challenges of sustainable crop management..
