Apeo -- Agronomical Plant Extract & Essential Oils -- aims to identify, develop, register and market plant protection products based on essential oils and plant extracts. In so doing, it responds to market demand for products that respect both human health and the planet. Apeo is a spin-off from the Phytopathologie Intégrée et Urbaine laboratory(University of Liège). It was created in January 2021.
Its initial activities focus on the development of bioherbicides for professional and home use. After developing its first total herbicide for home use and submitting a registration dossier for its commercialization, Apeo is now focusing on the development of a selective herbicide for the home market. The aim of this project portfolio is to improve the selectivity of a new herbicide that does not affect lawns, while eliminating unwanted plants and mosses.
